Black Hole

Today the world was shown the first real image of a black hole.

This black hole resides in the Messier 87 galaxy, about 53.5 million light-years away from us here on earth.

Thanks to scientists around the globe, we finally have an actual photograph of a black hole and not just a rendered depiction of one, like the accompanying artwork of this post.
