Built between 1163-1345, burned in 2019.

What a loss. The impermanence of life is sometimes very hard to accept, especially when it includes such historical significance, but I’m sure that the life, and history, of the Notre-Dame Cathedral did not end today.

It took extreme perseverance to complete its initial construction, and I’m certain that if they choose to do so, Parisians will approach its re-construction with similar impassioned perseverance.
