John and Yoko
Last night my partner and I watched the documentary John & Yoko: Above Us Only Sky. It was such a revealing glimpse into John and Yoko’s lifestyle, love for one another, and effort they took to create the album—and song—Imagine.

Seeing how well they collaborated and encouraged each other creatively made me especially thankful that I share a similar partnership in my own life. It makes for a truly motivating, loving, and sustainable relationship, which I think we can all benefit from as we make our way through life.

John has always fascinated me even from a young age, and as I get older I’m continually drawn to his essence and impact he was able to make on people in the world, even to this day. So in that sense, not only did his relationship with Yoko possess the qualities of motivation, love and sustainability, but his Being itself did as well, and again, continues to do so today through his legacy.
