Cruel Subjugation
The video, it couldn't be ignored. It was yet another spotlight on the cruel subjugation happening to people of color in our country. It happened upon George Floyd that day, one year ago.

Rising discontentment is crumbling the cement-like barrier between "us" and "them" that has been built and reinforced culturally and systemically for so long. Coming through the cracks is dignity, and respect, and a commitment to cement these ideals for us all so that future generations don't just see these each as an ideal but as a given, innately deserved.
