{85} Don’t and Do

“You have to see what you don’t want sometimes to know what you [do] want.” — Ruth Carter

Came across this quote at just the right time, as I’ve been having several prints developed recently of photographs that I’ve taken with slight variations in the editing of each to use as comparison. My goal is to determine what I believe to be the best looking, and best representative of my intended aesthetic of photography in print form. Then, once I have my post-processing method settled, I’ll next determine what type of paper to ultimately use for prints and whether canvas prints will be viable or not.

It’s a lengthy process of experimentation but, as Ruth says above, I need to see what I don’t want to know what I do want.
